A member asked:

How long does it takes for clindamycin to cure pharyngitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on cause: If your pharyngitis is bacterial, and a bacteria that is susceptible to clindamycin, you should start feeling better in 24-48 hours. Clindamycin will not treat a viral infection. Viral infections will usually go away after 7-10 days. If your symptoms are worsening on antibiotics or you have having a harder time breathing or swallowing, you may want to see your doctor.
