Is it ok that my doctor prescribed me 800 mg motrin while on coumadin (warfarin)?

Possibly: The concern is that Ibuprofen can increase your bleeding risk by inhibiting platelets, while Coumadin (warfarin) anticoagulates you via the clotting cascade, so on both medications you have an increased risk of bleeding. If the Motrin is just for pain, Acetaminophen may work and have no effect on bleeding. If your doctor wants to use the anti-inflammatory affects of motrin, you must weigh risk and benefit.
