Yes: Roundworms (or nematodes) are small parasites animals that are common in cats. They are passed by the fecal-oral route from cat to cat & can be passed to humans for certain types of roundworms in cats. Roundworm eggs may be picked up when kids playing outside and then eat with dirty hands and ingest them. Symptoms: weight loss, GI symptoms are common. Treatment is with antiparasite medication.
