Ultrasound: The fundal height is measured at every visit after 20 weeks. Usually, the measurements are within a couple of cm of your gestational age. If the measurement is larger or smaller than the gestational age, we get an ultrasound to measure the fetus. This is a better eval of the size/weight of the fetus, but keep it mind that an ultrasound is not exact.

Ultrasound: In this case the ultrasound is probably more accurate. The more accurate date, however, may be obtained from calculation using the day of last menstrual period and data from earlier ultrasound (during 1st and/or second trimesters).
