Elevated WBC: WBC can elevate during infection. If you worry about leukemia, follow up with his Pediatrician after all other symptoms resolve (fever, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting). WBC should normalize after infection resolves. If it stays elevated, further evaluations might be needed.

Not with that: Leukemia would present with WBC higher by a fact0r of 5-10X. That level of elevation I a kid is easily achieved as a stress response during an illness.They push out stress hormones that can double their white cell count overnight. Common things are common.I wouldn't go to the scary place just yet. Keep in touch with your treatment team & notify them of any change.
