Possibly: Both meds are in the family of tcas & have similar side-effect profiles. That does not mean that your side effects to one will be the same as it is to the other med. Almost every med has the possible side-effect of dry mouth but if you need it you mayneed to deal with it. There are other ways to combat dry mouth - keeping hydrated with water is the best but your dentist should be able to guide you.

May...: If it doesn't, you should ask your pcp for a referral to a rheumatologist. There are several auto-immune syndromes that can cause tour symptoms, e.g. Sjogren's syndrome, crest, etc. Ask your doc.
