No.: This is a common side-effect of nortriptyline and it will not go away as long as you're taking it but you will get used to it and the side effect can be mitigated by sucking on hard candy, sipping water and some people chew sugarless gum.

No: Your mouth will remain dry. All you can do is to manage your dry mouth. You are at a much higher risk of rapidly progressing tooth decay with dry mouth. Avoid sugary and acidic foods and drinks. Mouthwash with alcohol will make your mouth feel drier. Work with your dentist to prevent decay.
