Cardiologist answer: Your cardiologist should have gone over this in great detail with you, since while usually medically managed at this stage (aspirin +/- plavix, (clopidogrel) cholesterol / diabetes / blood pressure control), yes, at 39, that is highly predictive of early first heart attack--but not a guarantee. Use prevention to your advantage, and discuss with cardiology for plan.
