Usually no scar: Usually no scar after chalazion surgery but the final result can sometimes take a few months to heal. Sometimes the healing process can take even longer depending on the severity of the lesion and if it was drained from the anterior( skin side) or posterior ( conjunctival side).

Surgery leaves scar: Usually it is an "invisible" scar in the inner side of the lid which is not visible in normal condition.
