Insomnia: not apnea: In most urban settings a sleep clinic is a good start. Most good sleep centers have several missions..Not just to diagnose and treat sleep apnea. But, there is also a naturopathic approach to consider as well. It may be educational to get a completely different spin on treating insomnia.

Sleep medicine doc: There are physicians who are board-certified in sleep medicine. As part of that qualification they must be very knowledgeable and insomnia as well as apnea, restless leg, narcolepsy and many many other sleep disorders. Both the American Board of Internal medicine and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine keep a list of physicians. Some psychologist also specialize in insomnia treatment.
