Possible TMJD / TMD: To be sure you need an otolaryngologist (ent physician) examine you. If they rule out ear infection, growths in throat, then you need to consider tmjd. Temporomandibular dysfuction commonly causes ear pain due to proximity of jaw joint to ear. Also due to continual tension, the styloid process gets elongated giving discomfort from swallowing. A ct scan of the jaw area would show this readily.Tm.
