A member asked:

After treating a swollen testicle with antibiotics and yet it did not heal, i was asked to see urologist. please what will the urologist do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Evaluate further: Antibiotics are to treat infections of the epididymus, which is adjacent to the testicle and feels like a small bag of worms. The residual swelling can be the inflammed tissue, versus a cyst or small torsion of part of this structure or even due to a tumor of the testicle itself. An exam by the urologist followed by an ultrasound are part of a conservative plan.
