Not the iud: An enlarged ovary is usually enlarged by a cyst. Most cysts are functional and will usually go away in 1-2 months on its own. Though sometimes taking birth control pills will help a cyst resolve faster. Cysts that don't get smaller are usually benign growths that need surgery to remove. Iud does not cause ovarian cysts.
