Surgery: This is called ptosis and it means that the muscle that holds the lid up is stretched. The only cure is an outpatient surgical procedure to shorten and tighten the muscle.

See an Eye MD: If this is something new you need to see an eye md soon. Could be thyroid disease and controlling the thyroid can correct the eyelid droop. If there are no other findings or explanations and this is just a weak muscle in the drooping eyelid, surgery is the only answer.
