Silicone gel sheets: Scars look better after compression with a silicone gel sheet which can be worn nightly. The compression helps to remodel deep scar tissue making it flatter. When scars are fresh, the sheet helps remove redness faster too. Surgery or resurfacing treatments are indicated when the orientation, thickness or contracture of the scar needs to be modified. You may need to see a plastic surgeon for help.
