Ask your OB to refer: You to a hematologist, along with your husband & all pertinent lab results for each of you. The information you gather from the hematologist will allow you to make an informed decision about the need for cvs. Also, once you understand which trait you have, since you said it's questionable, then a prenatal genetic counselor can do a genogram (family tree) to show you the pattern of inheritance.

Genetic counseling!: Asap genetic counseling is warranted in your case to determine the risk for having an affected offspring and choose the best method of prenatal diagnosis. Cvs sounds reasonable, after you had genetic counseling to understand the risks/benefits/alternatives. Seek maternal-fetal medicine care!
