Not related: Having blood transfusions years ago does not put you at increased risk for blood clots at any point in your life. If your personal and family histories are negative for clots, risk is the same as any other woman. If there is a family history of blood clots or miscarriage, then talk to OB about testing you for any increased risk.

Unrelated : Blood transfusions have not been reported or known to cause blood clots however the pregnancy itself is a well known risk factor for blood clots. During pregnancy, risk differs from one woman to another depending on prior history of blood clots or other familial risk factors. If concerned, ask your doctor.
