Is it normal to not bleed and cramp until several days after having a d&c?

Variable: This may be due to a buildup of blood within the uterus that is now trying to expel leading to the cramping and blood loss. A D&C cleans tissue out of the uterus but is traumatic to the remaining lining which may be friable (tendency to ooze blood) for a few days after the procedure.
