If you truly have migraines, you should be on migraine-specific treatment, genrally the triptan type drugs. For prevention, many of these drugs are quite inexpensive and quite helpful. You need to avoid transforming your headaches into daily or chronic headaches by not getting into a repetitive cycle of meds.
