How to tell if hypertension is pulmonary hypertension or something else. have mild weakness and shortness of breath but nothing major. not very active?

PHTN vs HTN: Hypertension and pulmonary hypertension are two completely separate issues. Hypertension is diagnosed by measuring blood pressures over time. Pulmonary hypertension is suspected when there is undue sob or fatigue. This is evaluated by ekg / echocardiogram and cxr.

PH: High blood pressure in the lungs is called pulmonary hypertension (ph) or pulmonary arterial hypertension (pah). Pah is quite different from systemic hypertension which is assessed by cuff pressure in your arm. You should check with your physician to determine which you have.
