Good luck: As you correctly surmise, if you and your pregnancy were able to survive sepsis it is wonderful that you are still pregnant. We hope that your fetus was also able to survive the stresses of sepsis. An ultra sound of your fetus might help to allay some of your fears.

Not sepsis: Sepsis is a combination of an infection with signs of systemic inflammation. If someone does not die form the disease , it does not last for months, although some of the after effects like muscle weakness or kidney problems might linger. If someone is recovering from sepsis, the baby may still do fine , in fact if mom pulls through in most cases risk to baby is low.

Hmmm: Most likely yes. It really depends in the sepsis. The fact that your still battling it for 4 months is concerning.
