Slow metabolism?: You increase metabolism by exercising. You increase metabolism by having more muscle, which burns more calories at rest. You increase metabolism by avoiding starch and sugar and eating proteins and healthy fats, which must be metabolized in liver to sugar! most overweight people i work with need a body composition study to determine their fat and lean mass.

A Calorie deficit,: The only way to actually reduce weight, can only occur by eating fewer or burning more calories. A slow metabolism is almost never the problem. The bodies of larger individuals actually burn more, not fewer, calories. Individuals grow, repair tissues, pump blood, circulate hormones, burn o2 all of which burn even more calories in those who are overweight. Eat clean food, exercise more..It'll work!
