I am 6 weeks pregnant and on 1 mg of xanax, (alprazolam) 3 a day as needed. i have horrible attacks! what are the effects on the fetus? i am so worried & stressed!

Probably OK but...: Many women have taken xanax (alprazolam) during pregnancy & have healthy babies, but it is ideal to minimize your use if possible as it may not be completely safe. This is a great time to explore alternative treatments for panic disorder. I advise magnesium taurate or glycinate & inositol (12 grams a day).
