I have severe anxiety & recently switched from xanax (alprazolam) to klonopin because i'm pregnant (7wks). my psychiatrist advised that it's more gentle. should i be very worried about effects on the baby?

Possibly- ask OBGYN: I would not recommend that you take any meds or supplements without first consulting your OBGYN and possibly a pharmacist.

Pregnancy category D: There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
