Esophagus: Most common cause is gastroesophageal reflux sometimes associated with esophagitis.Sometimes pain mimics heart attack. Abnormal relaxation of the muscle at junction of esophagus and stomach allows reflux. Symptoms can readily be treated with medications, but should see physician to rule out other etiologies of pain.
