Vaginal Pain: Yes, it is common after any invasive instrumentation, even an ultrasound probe, that sensitive ligaments may be stretched and tissues slightly injured. This should clear up in a few days, but if you experience bleeding, fever, or worsening of the pain, get in touch with your gynecologist immediately and have him re evaluate you.

See below: A transvaginal ultrasound typically does not cause pain. It is conceivable that a pelvic pain may develop because of the exam. If so, it typically resolve after a few days. It it persists, i would recommend consultation with your physician to determine the cause of pain.
