Do NOT wait : This could be very serious. You may have metal or drug or environmental toxicity. Have someone help you write down anything new you have done, where you live, any recent trips, diet, where you work, hobbies -- any thing could be helpful . Call poison control in your area. Seek medical attention asap.

Called Parageusia: This is the medical term for a bad taste in the mouth. One common form is the metallic taste of food. It is most commonly a side effect of medication. If the metallic taste is associated with disturbed speech then one must consider complex partial seizures. You should seek the advice of a neurologist to seek an answer to this problem.
