I am a dentist ask about problem of tongue biting while speaking after bridge construction in molar area. may it due to improper closing (open bite)?

Possibly: It could be your bite, the contour of your new bridge, or simply getting used to the new situation. Either way, see your dentist.

Contour My Vote...: Xlnt question! if ur patient is biting tongue now and did not before, something about the new fpd is impinging. Go back and look @ ur temps if pt was comfortable in them. Maybe lab built brg in conventional occlusion and needs to be in x/bite somewhere. If u can't get perm. Contoured like temps. Get pt back into the temps to stop tongue biting, take impr'n of temps and send to lab w/ perm brg. G/l.
