Family Practice: It is probably thrush ask your dr for a Nystatin soln to rinse your mouth it is caused by steroid containing inhalers. Usually rinsing your mouth with water after use prevents development of thrush. But once you have it , you need a prescription.

Medicine reaction: Bronchodilators and inhaled steroids can cause changes in the normal tissues of the tongue and the types of bacteria present in the mouth--especially in the airflow path of the drugs. Brush/scrape your tongue every time you clean your teeth and rinse your mouth after every use of your inhaler.
