Yes: Read about cholesterol and atherosclerosis and heart disease. Too much red meat can be very harmful, especially over time. Chicken, turkey and pork are less of a risk. Fish is excellent. Do some research and form some opinions on how you want the rest of your life to be. Good luck.

Yes: Multiple studies suggest that consumption of red meat, especially processed meats, is associated w/increased risk for heart disease & colon cancer. Fruits & vegetables are your safest bet along w/fish & chicken. Beans & eggs are good source of protein (although I am not aware of cost in france). Recent study showed that mediterranean diet + extra virgin olive oil or nuts actually lowers heart risk.
