That's too young: A normal healthy 23 year-old can use other methods of contraception until she is in her 30's. None of us can predict the future, so it's best to stay healthy and fertile, until at least a few more birthdays have passed. We are all born, and we all live a short time, whether it is one year or one hundred years... So young women should keep their options open until they're in their 30's.
