What you suspect when a lady 49 nearing menopause has change in skin at junction of two labias with itch and minute sores, anti fungal does not help?

A few possibilities: If you have already tried antifungals (which is a great first try!), then i'm wondering if this may be thinning of your vulvar tissue from waning hormone levels. The sores could be mild atrophy combined with normal sex - be sure to use a lubricant! the itching still bothers me, so that may just be the healing process. The most i would suggest would be otc Hydrocortisone cream to ease irritation.
