Healthful food: It is more important that you eat a healthful diet than gain weight and lose your health. Be sure that you do not have some type of intestinal problem that cause poor digestion and/or absorption of your food. By the way, treating an underactive thyroid may stimulate your appetite and help you but it is not a quick cure.

Good, healthy food: If your thyroid level is normal on replacement with brand name t4, that you will gain weight if you eat more calories than you burn off. Eat a healthy and balanced diet. If is uncommon for young women to want to gain weight. Consult a good registered dietitian.
