Depends: If its new or growing , you need to check it out. Certain features as dark and ireegular spots can indicate a melanoma. Dry scaley lesions may be basal cell or squamous cell cancers. While most lesions are benign , it can be a serious thing to miss. A biopsy is low risk. Make sure a dermatologist or a ENT does the procedure to avoid scarring.
