On the side of my nose, halfway up, i have a hard bump/swelling (roughly dime sized) yesterday i had a bit of redness in that spot. what could it be?

Bump: At your age, you should watch for any skin cancer etc. A dime sized bump is large on the face and should be evaluated by your physician. Watch for any skin color changes, signs of infection etc.

Needs evaluation: You should have that lesion looked at by a dermatologist to determine if it is cancer or not.
