A member asked:

Can ultrasound detect that you had undergone dnc 1 month after?

Very rarely : Ultrasound would rarely reveal if you have had a dnc a month before as the blood and debris would have passed normally. If you had a dnc for retained products of conception then this may still show something on an ultrasound but only rarely.

No.: Unless there are obvious signs of tissue trauma or retained products of conception or hematoma, the ultrasound would be interpreted as if your uterus were not recently instrumented. But any interpretation should be done in the context of a more complete medical history, including recent surgery to that organ, and the current question. Lack of having the story is a nightmare for radiologists.
