Yes: If this is sports related, doing the same activity can worsen it. See an orthopedist and get it evaluated.

Yes: Depending upon how the meniscus is torn, it would be possible to extend the tear with activities. This would be a little bit like extending a "hang-nail" by catching it on something. If you feel you have a torn meniscus, you should have this evaluated before engaging in activities that might cause a larger tear.
