Both: One does not really need a gym to exercise, there is a lot that can be done at home. Soome depends on the goals you may have - gyms often offer a range of equipment that is difficult to replicate at home, variety, and inspiration from working out with other people or trainers. Whatever keeps you going. Consult with your doctor about any limitations or a trainer about what might work for you.
