Lymph nodes: These "glands " are lymph nodes they are part of the lymphatic system they part a part in fighting off infection.Each section of the body has a series of lymph glands . They enlarge if they are fighting off an infection in an area. They can become enlarged with certain viral infections. On a more ominous node if they are become enlarged due to metastatic cancer or a primary lymphoma.See a doc!
