Amphetamines: Amphetamines work in the brain streamlining the neurotransmitter process. They block the reuptake and destruction of the noradrenalin and Adrenalin (neurotransmitters) in the synapsis (the contact in between neurons) allowing more time in contact with the receptor which will produce a response in the neuron which is stimulated to produce an action potential in the responding neuron.
