Complicated: Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a prodrug that has to be converted, probably by GI enzymes, into dextroamphetamine, which acts like amphetamine in the brain. Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) was formulated to reduce abuse potential. It increases availability of Dopamine ; norepinephrine, which improves attention. Adverse effects include anaphylaxis, severe rash ; cardiac probs. Has preg ā€œcā€ rating (use w/ caution). Avoid if breast feeding.
