A member asked:

Where does air space disease in the right lateral of the chest consist of?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air space disease: The term airspace disease is generally used to indicate a problem involving the alveoli or air sacs in the lungs. These alveoli can fill up with fluid (e.g., pus, blood, water) and show up as abnormalities on chest xrays and ct scans. "right lateral" means the outside or peripheral part of the right lung. Most commonly, focal airspace disease suggests there is pneumonia.
