Yes: It can lead to a "neurogenic bladder" with poor urine drainage and retention so as to facilitate bacterial infection and recurrent episodes some times acending to the kidneys. If the bladder does not empty well it needs to be drained by a catheter daily to prevent this from occurring.

Maybe: If the tumor extends beyond the spine, or is in several locations in the body, there is a chance it is partially blocking the ureter(s) and leading to recurrent kidney infections.
