My grandma has severe dementia. she is fed with a peg tube. recently, she gets gastric refluxes and she regurgitates. please what can help her?

Changes: Depends on how fed via peg. If bolus, try smaller / more frequent or overnight. Can use pro-motility medication (reglan), but can have prohibitive side effects in seniors. Keep her upper body at 30-45 degree angle during and an hour after feeds. If these fail, talk to GI dr about changing peg to pej, which has tube end in small intestine instead of stomach.
