Better to wait: You don't really need to use mouthwash, but if you feel that you do, i suggest that you wait a few more days just to be sure.

Yes: Gentle swishing will be fine at 4 days. Mouthwash may make you feel a little more fresh, but salt water will actually be more helpful for the healing. Oh, and do be sure to brush well and to keep the food particles off the adjacent teeth and the extraction site. You should be healed in no time!

No not yet: The bone relies on the clot in the extraction socket to reorganize and form new bone. If you rinse out vigorously it will disturb the clot and a painful infection can occur. Just try placing a little water in your mouth and ever so gently work it from side to side. Avoid any mouthwash for about 1 week. In addition, do not spit, just drool out the excess saliva, blood and water.
