Flossing is safe: Flossing regularly will not widen gaps between teeth. And rinsing immediately after using mouthwash will dilute the mouthwash and reduce its effectiveness. If the mouthwash is too strong to use straight, try diluting it just a bit with water, then rinse with the diluted stuff.

Flossing: Flossing will NOT widen he gaps between your teeth. Flossing removes ~ 35% of the plaque on y0our teeth, brushing 2 full minutes 2x/day ~ 65% of the bacteria (plaque). Mouth wash ~1%. Please make sure ou are seeing your Dentist 2x/year for a professional cleaning to reach the places that your can't reach.
