Premature beats: Skipping a beat usually secondary to premature beats (these beats happen faster than the normal rhythm) their source can be from the upper chambers (pac) or lower chambers (PVC) and there will be a transient pause after them (skip period). If these are repetative attacks i recommend a cardiology visit.
