Yes: There are very strong protocols for kidney function. In western medicine the heart gets central focus but in traditional chinese medicine, the kidneys are the powerhouse. Ensure that you see an acupuncturist who has a skill set beyond musculoskeletal problems. There are major energy moving protocols working with meridians as well as ear aucupuncture protocols. No: Acupuncture is a great, noninvasive treatment for multiple symptoms. It will not, however, have a significant impact on your kidney's ability to filter your blood.
