A member asked:

We just found out our 7 year old daughter has underdeveloped gray matter in her brain. is this perminant or is it something that can be improved?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exercise brain: Children's brains are extremely adaptable and very frequently if one part of brain injured or deficient, other parts of brain can be trained to do that task, espeically in kids. Thus, she may never get "more" gray matter, but you can totally expand the capabilites of the gray matter she does have! you have to train it like athletes train muscles, though, so start working on areas she has needs!
