My son has a white pimple like bubble under his tongue. what can it be? he says it doesn't burn like a cold sore, it's not painful.

Possibly normal: It could be normal anatomy or possibly a small salivary gland stone. You would have to see a dentist to be sure, but if not painful or any sign of change over time it may be normal anatomy. If it lasts longer than 2 weeks you could get an evaluation.

Mucocoel: The skin lining the underside of the tongue contains many glands that secrete mucous.Sometimes the mechanical action of a busy tongue will break the tubes that bring the mucous to the surface & a cyst will form under the skin when the mucous cannot get out.I generally send these to an ENT to have them opened & removed.They can reoccur.
